The motorcycle featuring Ohlins racing forks that saw Valentino Rossi dominate the 2002 MotoGP season has been named the best bike of the four stroke era.

Honda's RC211V 2003 model saw Moto GP stalwarts Valentino Rossi, Nicky Hayden and Sete Gibernau donning their motorcycle trousers, jacket and other kit on the bike during that year.

However, it is the 15 out of 16 races that the bike won during this season that has brought it to the top of the Crash.net top ten table.

The 2002 model of the same bike made it to second place on the list, largely owing to its dominance of that season, in which the bike took 12 of the 16 races it was involved in.

Rossi will be climbing onto a Ducati in the 2011 Moto GP season, having brought his career at Yamaha to an end in 2010.

His new team insist they will be making changes to the bike set up before unleashing Rossi on the machine in his motorcycle clothing during the first race of the season, but will it one day qualify as one of the best bikes of the Moto GP era itself? Only time will tell.
