As new MotoGP World Champion Jorge Lorenzo tested his 2011 Yamaha M1 in Valencia, the Ohlins suspension systems were the things that impressed him most.

At the post-season test, Lorenzo showed all the signs that he would carry his ominous form in the 2010 season into next-season's championship, immediately finding speed with the new engine and chassis.

However, it was the Ohlins suspension systems that he was most pleased with, feeling that it gave him more stability and helped to increase his pace.

"The most improved thing has been the Ohlins suspension, which gave me more confidence especially mid-corner. The new engine seems to make the bike wheelie less too," he said.

Lorenzo set the fastest lap time in the first testing session, which saw Valentino Rossi, Casey Stoner and Ben Spies among those adjusting to new teams as well as new bikes.

Valencia also saw British rider Cal Crutchlow take his first dry laps on a MotoGP bike for the Tech 3 Yamaha team.
