The BMW Motorrad World Superbike team has completed its first testing session with its new 2011 Ohlins suspension systems.

Riders Troy Corser and Leon Haslam spent five days riding at the Jerez and Portimao circuits, getting the chance to try out the new Ohlins forks that we originally designed for MotoGP.

In addition, the team trialled new brakes and engine modifications, as well as changes in the bike's geometry.

Corser said that the good news from the session was that both he and Haslam were in agreement about the areas that are good and those that need to be improved.

Said: "We tried many different things on the suspension together with Ohlins, which was also very good.

"Unfortunately the rain followed us from Jerez to Portimao, but to get some wet testing is also quite valuable."

Leon Haslam recently met fans at Carole Nash Motorcycle Live, as a guest for former team Alstare Suzuki.
