Ducati test riders have completed their third session in motorcycle clothing aboard the new CP11 Desmosedici.

The Bologna-based firm has been fine-tuning the basics of the bike that will be ridden by Valentino Rossi and Nicky Hayden at the first MotoGP test of 2011 in Malaysia next month.

Team manger Vittoriano Guareschi had his motorcycle clothing on again to help develop the bike, looking specifically at how the Ohlins forks are working with the feeling at the front end of the machine.

Ducati Corse general director Filippo Preziosi said the team were pleased with the outcome of the three-day test, aided by the glorious sunshine at Jerez, but the real examination of the bike will come in Sepang.

"Only when Valentino and Nicky have had their turn to try and evaluate those solutions will we be able to have a more certain confirmation and to understand if we've taken a step forward," he said.

Ducati will be hoping that Rossi's injured shoulder has recovered sufficiently to put on his Dainese leathers and push the bike to its limits in Malaysia.
