Honda rider Casey Stoner was happy with the set-up of his bike and Ohlins suspensions systems, as he continued to set the pace in Qatar.

Having found the ideal riding position and discovered the right balance with his Ohlins forks, Stoner was one of only two riders to complete a lap of the Losail circuit in under 1'56", the other being teammate Dani Pedrosa.

While Stoner concedes that a lot of teams have taken steps forward in their development over the two-day testing session, Honda can be extremely confident about their chances for the first race on Sunday.

"We're happy with what we've achieved again here and we can enter the race weekend with confidence but at the same time everyone else will be improving their set-up so we can't relax," he explained.

Stoner has adapted quickly to the Honda machine after four years at Ducati, where he won the MotoGP title in 2007.
