Casey Stoner feels that the introduction of new Ohlins forks will help to keep Repsol Honda ahead of the pack when MotoGP goes to France later this month.

Honda have been the team to beat in the first three races, with all four riders using the RC212V engine consistently battling for the top places on the track.

Yet Stoner believes that the new Ohlins forks introduced at the Estoril testing session have made the bike even better, with a previous chattering problem having been rectified.

"This is a big improvement as these forks work better on the bumps and on the brakes so hopefully we can continue to use them in the future," he said.

Unfortunately for teammate Dani Pedrosa, his sore shoulder meant he was unable to try any of the new Ohlins race products at the test.

Pedrosa is still recovering from the operation he had to remove a titanium plate from his collarbone, after it started to cause numbness in his arm.
